Fearless Fishing Report for Oct. 15 (#Islamorada, FL)

Today we fished a full day with Neal and his friend and we had some great action! The #Mahi were biting like crazy. We found a nice weed line #Offshore and it was holding lots of Mahi. We also caught a few Blackfin #Tuna in the mix. On the way in we stopped on the #Reefand caught around a dozen Yellowtail #Snapper. Wind was light southeast and seas were 1 to 2 feet

Fearless Fishing Report for June 11 (#Islamorada, FL)

Today we fished a morning 1/2 day. We started out on the #Reef for some Yellowtail #Snapper fishing, but it was tough. We had a big #Barracuda that would not leave us alone and kept eating our fish 🙁 So we shot #Offshore and, lucky for us, there were plenty of schoolie #Mahi not too far offshore. Wind was Southeast at 12 knots but it was 2 to 4 foot seas in the gulfstream

Fishing Report for July 28 (Islamorada, FL)

Today we had a different type of trip where we were testing out some new lures. The fish were a little spread out today, but the ‪#‎mahi‬ that we did catch loved the lures! Wind was calm and were seas calm

Fishing Report for Oct. 19

Today we fished a half day and we caught a bunch of Pilchards along the Shore on the way out. Then we headed to the 409 Hump and because there wasn’t as much current today it was a little tougher to catch the Tunas, but we still caught a dozen. Wind was light and variable and the seas were calm

Fishing Report for Aug. 9

Today was another great day of fishing in Islamorada,Florida! We first went to the Hump for some Blackfin Tuna. We were able to catch around 6 Tuna and a Skipjack Tuna. We then found a big log floating in the water and caught some nice Mahi Mahi around 4 to 10 lbs. After that, we went a little farther offshore where we found some Mahi that were 20 lbs. plus. We lost a couple and also caught a couple. We also saw another half a dozen that didn’t want to bite. It was fun! The weather was rough again today with wind out of the Southeast at around 18 knots and waves 4 – 6 feet!

So we headed out far and found only a few Mahi, but all nice sized one. The wind was 10 knots out of the Southeast, waves were 1 to 3 feet and the water temp was 84.

Fishing Report for Aug. 1

photo-12It was non stop action today with a great mix of Tuna and Mahi Mahi! The Hump was alive with Tunas and then we found a good weed line in about 650 feet of water that had plenty of Mahi Mahi under it! It started out a little windy in the morning at around 16 knots but laid down to around 10 by the afternoon. Waves dropped out to 2 to 3 feet. We are fishing with Greg and his son Chris again tomorrow so we are going to mix it up and try some Reef and Wreck fishing.
