Today we fished a half day. We headed out to the Hump with some live Pilchards. We had a great Tuna bite! We then went looking for some Mahi Mahi. We got lucky and found a nice school. We kept a few for dinner and headed back. Seas 2 to 3 feet

Tuna Time in Islamorada – give us a call!
Trip Advisor Review
Captain Joe is beyond incredible. I went with my dad and brother on a full-day charter with Captain Joe back in August of 2014, which is mostly the slow season in Islamorada. I have never fished with a captain so determined to make sure his guests catch fish and have a good time. Even though the first 4-5 hours of the trip was slow and without a mahi bite, Captain Joe had this look on his face that he wasn’t going home without landing some mahis for us. And that’s exactly what he did. We have may traveled a great distance for them–which is easily doable on Joe’s nimble and very fast boat–but boy was it worth it. What impressed me the most about Joe was most captains would have called it a day after catching a few nice fish–especially since we were closing in on the end of the trip–except Joe wanted to continue the hunt. We actually needed to prod him to go back because we wanted to hit the pool! I would highly recommend Joe for any fishing charter you consider. He is knowledgable, dependable and an all-around great guy — basically everything you want in a fishing captain.

Fishing Report for Sept. 10 and 11
The last 2 of days we fished the same terrific group! We had some great Blackfin Tuna action. We fished the Humps with some artificial lures and some live bait as well. Both days we caught about 20 Tunas and some up to 15 lbs.! We also hit the Wrecks on the way in and caught a Kingfish and Bonito. We had great weather as well – on Wednesday with 2 to 3 foot seas and on Thursday it was a foot or less
