Fishing Report for Feb. 27

Today we fished a full day. We started off by catching some live cigar minnows and ballyhoo. We then anchored down on the edge of the reef for some yellowtailing. We caught a few but the tide was into wind. We then achored down on a patch reef and caught them good. After that we put some live baits out in about a 135 feet of water and caught 5 Bonita’s and a kingfish. Wind was 5 to 12 knots out of the west north west. Waves were 1 to 3 feet.

Fishing Report for Feb. 26

Today we fished a full day. We started off by catching some live cigar minnows on the reef. We then headed to the hump where we hooked a couple of nice snappers one getting ate by a shark! We then saw a sailfish that swam by the boat so we pitched a live bait to it. It never bit, but after about 10 minutes a nice wahoo did! We then headed to some wrecks in shore. We caught a nice blackfin tuna and had a couple of king bites. The wind picked up in the afternoon and we put our kites out. We ended up catching another big blacKfin tuna before we headed home. Wind was calm in the morning and then came from the south at around 12 knots in the afternoon. Water temp was 77 today.
We also rescued three kyakers that had paddled too far from shore on the way home! Hopefully some good karma for tomorrow!
